Hungary Collection

What is it exactly?

The Hungary Collection was established at the end of the 1990s in order to provide foreign students and visiting guests with proper information about Hungary: and to make them acquainted with Hungarian literature, language, history, culture, and arts.

The holdings of the collection consisting of more than 2000 volumes, are growing permanently.

Where can I find it?

The collection is located on the 1st floor of the library, in the General and Social Sciences Reading Room, bearing yellow labels. The notation mark of the topic is 908-HU. The majority of the stock is in English, but the collection has several French and German works as well. The material of the collection can be used during the whole opening hours of the library.

 How can I use it?

Volumes of the collection are free to be borrowed (with only a couple of exceptions): watch out for the red sticker on the spine or front board of the book.

Apart from books, the collection is also enriched by periodicals, journals, reference booklets fitting to the topic. The latest issues are kept on the open access shelves, prior issues are accessible in the Current Newspapers and General Periodicals Reading Room.
